Rodeo

Black River Stadium was designed for rodeo in the 2000 and beyond, the design of the yards and chutes make the rodeo show flow smoothly without holdups and ample facilities to redraft stock in order to keep the action flowing.

Motor Cross

The design of the cattle panels in modular form make it simple to convert for other events such as motorcross. The spectator view situation is unsurpassed, with the grassy hill and elevated grandstand style seating on top add to the excitment of the event.

Equestrian

The arena surface is especially prepared to host horse movements taking particular care of animal performance surface. Spectator vantage areas are ideal to enjoy the event performance in comfort and safety. We reccommend the Pirelli Horse training methods and David Grace is our preferred Trainer at Black River Stadium. Info on David

Live Stock

Black River is located centrally between Hiway one and Hervey Range Road making access from the North, South and West a breeze when it comes to moving stock, and 21 km to townsville is a good distance from residential areas. Ample handling facilities are here on grounds as well as spelling paddocks for larger numbers of stock. Side and end unloading for semis and b doubles with both in and out gates from the propery.

Motor Sport

With 160 acres of property to choose from with one boundary river and a second creek running through the entire property there is plenty of scope to handle motor events which require a little room.

Concerts

There is on site a 40 foot pantec trailer decked out as a stage with a band area of 7 meters x 4.8 meters at semi floor height i.e. 1.5 meters above ground. This can be positioned to suit any size performance required. Ground capacity is appx 5000.

Outdoor Displays

The enclosed plan in maps and access demonstrates the available area to host a trade show event. We can produce a trade show with a kick to it by providing a bull ride or concert to go with the trade displays. This produces a win win situation for both the public and the exhibitor as well.

We can put on a function your clients will love you for. A short sharp rodeo presentation with real cowboys and cowgirls followed by a hot live band with floor show tailored to your guest age group and theme along with a buffet meal and drinks to suit every occasion. We guarantee to impress.

There are a number of different areas to camp with water and power available. We are willing to sit down and plan any manner of plan for your Fair or Festival.

The site map shows ample area to showcase any type of vehicle or machinery in 8 metre x 8 metre site formations.
